GLUETEC company history– 20 years adhesive expertise.
In 1997 the company WIKO Klebetechnik e.K. was founded as a one-man-operation by Wilhelm Kopp.
In 2000 his daughter, Christine Kopp, founded GLUETEC Industrieklebstoffe, focusing on the growth market of the MMA adhesives and introducing this adhesive class under the brands Weldyx and WIKO Multipower into the market extensively. Thanks to the close cooperation of the two companies WIKO and GLUETEC the next logical step was to rebrand: in 2012 the integration of WIKO into the brand portfolio from GLUETEC and the shared company management from father and daughter took place.
With branch offices in Germany, Poland and Slovenia as well as longtime sales partners in many European countries, GLUETEC is growing continuously and is positioning itself as an innovative and leading supplier for adhesives and sealants on the European market.
In 2016 the extensive investment measures in the Polish production have been terminated. In Czestochowa the new headquarter of WIKO Poland with a total surface area of 3.000 qm and fully automated filling machines was opened. In the meantime, the workforce of the companies expanded to over 50 employees.
Just in time for the 20-year anniversary of WIKO a new era is beginning for GLUETEC 2017. Dr. Marco Holst joins the management of the GLUETEC group. The aim is to sustainably promote the company's expansion with tailor-made customer solutions in the enlarged management team. His 15 years of experience in management positions in sales and technics of adhesive, sealing and packaging solutions complements perfectly the core competencies of GLUETEC.
